12/16/2023 0 Comments Att prepaid jotspot plans![]() In THERE, I select Prepaid and get dumped off to someplace like “Paygoonline”… (Edited per community guidelines) is THIS?Īnd FINALLY, from the ATT App, I logged out, and back in – put in the phone number and a pin the supervisor gave me – no clue where HE got it. And on THAT I can log in with the phone number to the device. So I said, “LET’S USE MY EXISTING ACCOUNT FOR THIS”.ĭURING all this, he tells me to DOWNLOAD the ATT app for my phone. Supervisor says, “Well to do that, it will take 30 DAYS to activate the account.”Īt which point I had checked the password manager and found out I HAVE an ATT ACCOUNT. I’m not going through ANOTHER two hour nightmare trying to get somebody on the phone that I can BARELY understand, who gives me gibberish answers. And told him I want to be able to LOG INTO AT&T and tell it to make the $55 payment when I want it to work. AND I’ve been told it’ll be $55/month, $20/month ($10 every 15 days) to keep it active, $1/month to keep it active, $25 to do SOMETHING – maybe activate… Who's zoomin' who here?Īt this point I asked to SPEAK to the supervisor. SO, at THIS point, I’ve got SOMETHING with a phone number that doesn’t go anywhere, no password, MAYBE an account of SOME sort. I’m not giving them $25 for the account, then $55 for the account to be active… He now has NO IDEA what to do and decides HE can set it up if I just pay $25 for the account. Just said continued doing the same thing.īack to the guy. He told me to select something like "Get a Pin". Which went to a place that required the phone number, and persisted in demanding to send a text to the phone number or do an online password. Put in the phone number and he said just click on “Forgot Password”. He had me sign into AT&T with the DEVICE phone number. Then he asked me for the SIM CARD ID AGAIN because he'd gotten it wrong - HOW did he verify/activate the device and Sim if he had the WRONG NUMBER? SO, I indicated we should set up the account. HE, the guy on the phone, SAID he verified with his SUPERVISOR that he was correct and they would deduct $1/month to keep the account active. So, any month the device/account isn’t active would be charged $1. And suddenly, IF I have a credit card on file, it can be kept active for $1 per month. AND that if I want to have it active for a month, then dormant, it would either CANCEL the plan after 60 days, OR I COULD PAY $15 EVERY 15 DAYS TO KEEP IT WORKING…Īt which point I said No and prepared to hang up. Then he explained the plan was $55/month. ![]() This one EVENTUALLY got me to a person who SHOULD be able to get this done.įirst he took the number on the Sim card and the IMEI for the Nighthawk to verify or activate it. ![]() After a second try I went looking for a DIFFERENT number and found 80. It INSISTED that I provide a phone number, which I don’t have ‘cause I don’t have an account for this device (as far as I know).Įventually, the robot hung up. NO TEXT.Ĭalled the 80 number and repeatedly told the robot to give me a representative. Which would be GREAT except when I GOT THERE, it looks like a blank page with 2 boxes. Stop by an AT&T store to purcase a PREPAID SIM CARD. I went to the website for the prepaid hotspot, and it SAID "HAVE YOUR OWN DEVICE". What an INCREDIBLE (Edited per community guidelines) AT&T has turned this into.
